I’ve met many intelligent people who don’t appreciate the powerful relationship between the skill to persuade and success. Dale Carnegie wrote that 85 percent of a person’s financial success is related to his or her penonality and ability to lead people.  I concur with this assessment because leading people is about persuading people to act in specific ways.
