Determine your level of presentation effectiveness by rating yourself in each of these 10 key areas, using a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 representing the very best.

1. At the outset of my presentation, I use the 3 Ps (Purpose, Process, Payoff) to explain objectives, agenda, and benefits to the audience.
2. I vary my presentation delivery style every few minutes to maintain attention and maximize retention.
3. I have an effective, time-efficient presentation development process, such as the 3-D Outline™.
4. I effectively use a Host Introduction to maximize my audience influence.
5. I leverage the first three minutes of my presentation to win my audience by building rapport and credibility
6. I balance my presentation with the right amount of presenting vs. facilitating.
7. I use verbal surveying and targeted polling to understand my audience and tailor my presentation throughout.
8. I build in and use breathing spaces in my presentations to have time to think, adjust, and more powerfully deliver my message.
9. I use audience champions to give me feedback before I present as well as to support me during and after my presentation.
10. I close effectively to create buy-in and demonstrate that I have met both my objectives and the audience's expectations.
